Information collected

The site may collect technical and usage information through PostHog analytics, including pages and article languages viewed, timestamps, referring pages, browser and device information, reading depth, time-based engagement, article completion, shares, and source-link clicks. PostHog may also process network information such as an IP address to provide the service.

Autocapture and session recording are disabled. The site does not intentionally use analytics to collect the contents of messages, passwords, payment information, or sensitive profile information.

If you contact me by email, I receive the information you choose to send, such as your email address, name, message, and attachments. The site itself does not operate a contact form or create user accounts.

Cookies and local storage

PostHog does not initialize and no analytics events are collected unless you select “Accept analytics” in the consent banner. If accepted, PostHog uses a cookie and browser local storage to remember an analytics identifier and related settings. These technologies help distinguish visits and measure how articles are used over time.

If you reject analytics, the site stores only your consent choice in local storage so it can respect that decision, and it removes PostHog cookie and local-storage keys from this site. This preference is necessary to remember your choice and is not used for analytics.

You can revisit your choice at any time through “Cookie settings” in the footer. You can also block or delete cookies and site data through your browser settings. Doing so should not prevent you from reading the site.

Optional PostHog analytics is based on your consent. You can reject it initially or withdraw consent later through “Cookie settings.” Other limited processing may be necessary to respond to a request you make, comply with law, or pursue legitimate interests in operating and securing this independent publication, subject to applicable law.

Service providers and transfers

PostHog provides product analytics. This site is configured to send analytics to PostHog’s European endpoint. Hosting, content delivery, security, and deployment services are provided by Cloudflare. These providers may process information on my behalf under their own terms and privacy commitments.

Information may be processed outside your country. Where required, service providers use recognized safeguards for international transfers. I do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Retention and security

Information is kept only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described here, including analysis, correspondence, security, dispute resolution, and legal compliance. Retention may also depend on settings and obligations maintained by service providers.

Reasonable technical and organizational measures are used to protect information, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a copy of personal information, and to complain to a data-protection authority. You may also ask questions about analytics identifiers or email correspondence.

Children

This site is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 16. I do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the site.
